13 January (Reuters) - The US and Japan reiterated the importance of peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait on Friday, and warned Russia against using a nuclear weapon in Ukraine.
Following their discussion, US President Joe Biden and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida released a joint statement in which they referred to North Korea's "provocations."
The statement said: "We strenuously condemn any unilateral attempts to change the status quo by coercion anywhere in the world.
