In the wake of today's horrific attack in Peshawar, The federal cabinet expressed the resolve to eradicate all forms of terrorism and ensure the protection of the lives and properties of the people. The cabinet said that the blood of the Pakistanis would be accounted for.Furthermore, steps are being taken to strengthen security in key areas and heighten vigilance against further attacks. 

A federal cabinet meeting was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in which a resolution condemning the suicide attack in the Peshawar Police Lines mosque was unanimously approved.

The cabinet also stressed the need to promote national unity and solidarity and raise a common voice by all political forces of the country against terrorists.

The Cabinet, as the representative of the people of Pakistan and their elected government, strongly condemned the terrorist incident in Peshawar on January 30 and expressed its condolences and sympathies with the bereaved families.

In a statement released by the Prime Minister's Office Media Wing, it has been said that the entire nation is an equal participant in the grief of the bereaved families.

The cabinet said that according to the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah and the unanimous opinion of the scholars, using these teachings, the message has been announced in Pakistan that such incidents are openly against the principles of Islam and Haram.

It was decided in the meeting that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Force and Counter-Terrorism Department will be restructured, apart from this, concrete steps will be taken to provide quality training and modern weapons and equipment to prevent such incidents in future. can be prevented.
